E&L offers comprehensive pet insurance for older dogs
It's a fact of life that we all get older - and that includes the family pets.
However, it isn't always that easy to find pet insurance for older dogs, as many of the standard policies on the market will not insure animals once they reach eight or nine years of age.
Fortunately, help is at hand. Specialist insurer E&L has been offering cover for older dogs, regardless of their age, for the past 20 years.
Its Senior Dog Insurance offers comprehensive benefits including vet fees cover for accident and illness, plus cover for boarding fees, theft and straying, holiday cancellation and accidental damage.
The Silver cover provides vet fees up to £4,000, while the Gold offers up to £5,000 and the Diamond policy up to £6,000.
Policies start from £13.59 per lunar month - calculated on a 28 day basis - and include a year's free membership to The National Pet Register 24 hour lost and found service, which is very useful in the event of your four legged friend getting lost or stolen.
If you buy a policy online you will receive up to 20 per cent off and if you are insuring more than one dog, you will get a 10 per cent multi-pet reduction.
As with all insurance policies, terms, conditions and exclusions apply.
To qualify for E&L Senior Pet Insurance, your pet must be older than eight years old, but there is no maximum limit. The pet must not be on the insurer's list of excluded breeds.
